Featured Project - Miami International Airport

The Miami International Airport roofing project consisted of the removal and replacement of approximately 470,000 square feet of roofing. The existing roof was composed of a built-up roofing material with gravel. The roof was infrared and all wet roofing was removed down to the decking and a new polyurethane roof system was installed.

Working at the airport had several challenges that are inherent to working at that type of facility, such as air traffic, staging areas, and meeting all of the wind uplift requirements for the South Florida hurricane zone requirements. The project was completed on time and the owner is extremely satisfied with the new roof. The new polyurethane foam roof now has a BSNA 15 year warranty that not only warrants against leaking, but also warrants against any wind damage during that time frame.
